EAST LA PARADE & FESTIVAL EVENT GUIDE: YOUR ACCESS POINT

Prepare yourself for the grandeur of the East LA Parade and Festival! This much-anticipated annual event attracts thousands of spectators who eagerly line the parade route. For two thrilling hours, you can marvel at the spectacular floral floats, talented marching bands, and impressive equestrians that grace the procession. The parade embarks on its 1 1/2-mile journey at the intersection of Cesar Chavez Ave. and Mednik in East Los Angeles.

To ensure the safety of all attendees, the East Los Angeles Police Department and Sheriff's Department, with the support of the Comite Mexicano Civico Patriotico and City Officials, have made arrangements to close the parade route to vehicular traffic. These route closures will take effect from 6:00 AM on September 10th through approximately 3 PM on the same day, extending along Cesar Chavez Ave. up to Gage Ave.

We kindly request that residents and merchants who plan to host viewing parties or expect deliveries during the street closures inform their guests or vendors in advance. It is advised that guests and vendors arrive prior to the 6:00 AM closure or, alternatively, the day before. For those arriving after the closure, nearby areas with unrestricted parking, such as the East LA Civic Center, will be available for parking.

Prepare to immerse yourself in the excitement and vibrant atmosphere of the East LA Parade and Festival. Mark your calendars for September 10th, and make the necessary arrangements to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
