Get ready for the cultural celebration of the year — the East LA Parade & Festival! Each September, thousands gather to celebrate Mexican Independence Day with a spectacular lineup of floats, music, and community pride.
📍 Parade Route: Kicks off at Cesar Chavez Ave. & Mednik Ave., traveling 1.5 miles through the heart of East Los Angeles. 🕙 Parade Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Enjoy a vibrant display of floral floats, folklórico dancers, equestrian teams, and high-energy marching bands — a truly unforgettable experience for the whole family.
🚧 Street Closures & Traffic Info: To keep everyone safe, the East LA Sheriff's Department and East LAPD — in collaboration with Comite Mexicano Civico Patriotico and local officials — will close:

🎉 Plan Ahead: Hosting a viewing party or expecting deliveries? Please notify your guests or vendors early. We recommend they arrive before 6:00 AM or the evening prior. Limited free parking is available at the East LA Civic Center and surrounding streets.
🎊 Festival Info: Immediately after the parade, head to the community festival filled with live music, authentic Mexican cuisine, local vendors, games, and cultural performances.
