East LA Parade Route Guide

-Parade Check-in: If you are participating in the parade, ​you must enter through 1st and Vancouver, drive to the check-in at Cesar Chavez and Vancouver. 

 

-Parade Route:

Kicks off at Cesar Chavez Ave. & Mednik Ave., traveling 1.5 miles through the heart of East Los Angeles, ending on Gage Ave. 

🕙 Parade Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Enjoy a vibrant display of floral floats, folklórico dancers, equestrian teams, and high-energy marching bands — a truly unforgettable experience for the whole family.

 

-Street Closures & Traffic Info:

To keep everyone safe, the East LA Sheriff's Department and East LAPD — in collaboration with Comite Mexicano Civico Patriotico and local officials — will close the street:

⏰ Closure Hours:

  • Mednik Ave. between 1st St. and Cesar Chavez (Saturday, Sep. 12th at 5 pm- Sunday Sep. 13th at 9 pm )

  • Cesar Chavez Ave. from Vancouver to Gage Ave. (Sunday, Sep. 13th, at 6 am- 3 pm)

-Plan Ahead: Hosting a viewing party or expecting deliveries? Please notify your guests or vendors early. We recommend they arrive before 6:00 AM or the evening prior. Limited free parking is available at the East LA Civic Center and surrounding streets.

Getting Here

For seamless travel, use Google Maps, Apple Maps, or the Transit app to navigate to the East LA Civic Center. Parking is available at the station for added convenience.
